2GIG: How to change the time

To change the time on a 2GIG control panel, you will need to use the touchscreen interface to access the system’s toolbox settings.

For 2GIG GC2 and Go!Control Panels

These steps apply to models like the GC2 and original Go!Control panels:

  1. Home Screen: From the home screen, tap [SECURITY].
  2. Menu: On the Security screen, tap [MENU].
  3. Toolbox: Tap [TOOLBOX].
  4. Enter Code: Enter your 4-digit master code (default is often 1111, but may have been changed).
  5. Navigate: You may need to press the right arrow () to get to the second toolbox screen (2 of 3).
  6. Set Time/Date: Tap [SET DATE] or [SET TIME].
  7. Adjust: Use the up and down arrows to select the correct time or date.
  8. Confirm: Press [OK] to save your selection. A confirmation screen will appear; press [OK] again to finish. 

For 2GIG GC3 and Edge Panels

These models have a slightly different interface:

  1. Home Screen: From the main screen, tap the Settings icon (a gear) in the bottom-right corner.
  2. Enter Code: Enter the Installer Code (default 1561) or Master Code (default 1111).
  3. Date & Time Menu: Select the option for Date & Time.
  4. Adjust: Use the on-screen sliders or arrows to set the hour, minute, AM/PM, month, day, and year.
  5. Set: Tap the green [Set] button in the bottom-right to apply the change.

If your system is connected to a monitoring service (like Alarm.com), the date and time are typically set automatically via the cellular connection or web portal settings, which can override manual changes at the panel. If the time is incorrect on a monitored system, you will need to adjust the time zone within your online account settings.
