Enter Programming Mode
- Plug an Ethernet cable from your router into the VISTA-21iP board.
- On your 6160 keypad, type your Installer Code (default is
4112) followed by800. - The screen should display
Installer Codeor20, meaning you are inside the programming menu.
Configure Internet Communication via Field *29
- Press
*29to open the IP/GSM configuration menu. - Enable the internal internet communicator by setting the options as instructed by your AlarmNet account parameters (typically enabling IP/TCP and ensuring cellular/GSM is disabled if you are strictly internet-only).
- Follow the prompts on the screen to save and advance. If using dynamic signaling or standard reporting, make sure the priority is set to use the internet path.
Exit Programming
Press *99 to exit programming mode safely. (Do not use *98 unless you want to lock out re-entry via the normal installer code method).
