How to add a zone to a VISTA H3

To add a zone to a First Alert VISTA H3 security system, you can program wireless sensors or hardwired expansion modules remotely using your AlarmNet 360 account or directly via the touchscreen keypad.

Adding Wireless Sensors via AlarmNet 360

1. Log in to your AlarmNet 360 account and load the specific customer account.
2. Go to the dashboard and select the sensors tab to open the zone list.
3. Click on add sensor.
4. Select the correct sensor type (such as 5800 series or SiX/PROSiX devices) or choose learn / takeover from the menu.
5. Enter the device’s serial number or trigger the learn mode to auto-enroll the powered sensor.
6. Modify the zone number, response type, and description to match your setup, then click save to sync the programming with the panel.

Adding Zones via Touchscreen Keypad

1. Tap the menu icon on the touchscreen keypad and select tools.
2. Enter your Installer Code to unlock programming settings.
3. Navigate to peripherals configuration or the device enrollment screen.
4. Tap the plus sign (+) in the corner and choose add manually or use auto-enroll/pairing mode to scan for the new device or expansion module.
5. Input the serial number or configure the hardwired inputs/expanders, adjust your zone settings, and save your changes.
