The Alarm.com ADC-AC-FOB-60H8 key fob is programmed through the Alarm.com web portal or mobile app and not directly on the device itself. The fob must be associated with a user in your access control system.
Programming Steps via the Alarm.com App
1. Open the App: Log in to your Alarm.com app.
2. Navigate to User Access: Tap the menu icon (usually three horizontal lines), then select User Access.
3. Select or Add a User:
- To add a new user, tap Add or the plus icon
+. - To edit an existing user, tap the user’s name or the edit icon next to their name.
4. Add Credential: Tap Add Credential, then select Access Badge.
5. Assign the Fob:
- Scan: You can assign the fob by scanning it with a compatible Alarm.com access control reader that is connected to the system.
- Manual Entry: Alternatively, you can manually enter the unique badge number found on the key fob into the app.
6. Manage Access Plans: Assign the user to the desired Access Plans to define which doors and times the fob will grant access.
The ADC-AC-FOB-60H8 uses an Alarm.com-specific encryption key and only works with Alarm.com readers and systems. It cannot be programmed using universal remote methods for non-security devices like garage door openers or AC remotes.
