Vista – Program function keys

To program function keys on a Honeywell Vista alarm system using *57, enter program mode by typing the installer code (default 4112) followed by 800, then enter *57 to access function key programming. You will then be guided through prompts to assign functions to the unlabeled keys on the keypad, like the “ABCD” keys.

Step-by-Step Guide

  • Start with the system disarmed.
  • Enter the installer code (Default 4112) followed by 800 (4112800)
  • Once in program mode, type *57 to start the function key programming sequence.

Program the Function Keys

Your alpha display keypad will now display a series of prompts to enter the desired information for each function key.

Follow the prompts to assign functions to the unlabeled keys, which are often referred to as the ABCD keys.

Exit Program Mode

When you have finished programming, you must exit programming mode to save your changes.

The command to exit programming mode is *99.

This process requires an alpha display keypad to see the prompts and enter the desired functions.
