PowerSeries Neo: Change entry delay

Changing the entry delay on a DSC PowerSeries Neo requires access to Installer Programming. Note that industry standards (CP-01) typically enforce a minimum of 30 seconds for entry delays to reduce false alarms.

  • Enter Programming: Press *8 followed by your Installer Code (default is 5555).
  • Access System Times: Enter section code 005.
  • Select Partition: Enter 001 for Partition 1 (or the specific partition number you wish to edit).
  • Set Entry Delay 1: Enter a 3-digit value in seconds (e.g., 045 for 45 seconds). This applies to “Delay 1” zone types, like your front door.
  • Set Entry Delay 2: The keypad will automatically move to the next field. Enter a 3-digit value for “Delay 2” zones (e.g., 060 for 60 seconds). If you don’t use Delay 2, you can press [*] to skip or enter a default.
  • Set Exit Delay: The keypad will then prompt for the Exit Delay. Enter a 3-digit value (minimum is usually 45 seconds).
  • Exit: Press # multiple times until you return to the main “Ready” screen.
