To bypass a zone on a Vista system, first enter in your Master Code. Then press the bypass number 6, followed by the zone number. The zone number will always be 2 digits on Vista-21 or lower.
On Vista-128 and Vista-250 panels, the zone number will contain 3 digits.
Note: Life safety zones such as Fire and Carbon Monoxide can not be bypassed.
Example
If you wish to bypass zone 2 and your master code is 1234, you will proceed as follows:
- Enter 1234 (Your master code)
- Press number 6 (Bypass button)
- Type 02 (Zone Number)
If zone 2 was the sole faulted zone on your system, you should now have the green ready to arm light available.
If “Forced Bypass” is enabled in the panel, you can enter the following code to automatically bypass all faulted zones: [User Code] + [6] + [#].
