To enable a daily test on a Honeywell Vista 21, enter the installer code followed by pound ((#)) 0 to program a daily periodic test report schedule. This will automatically send a test signal to the central monitoring station every 24 hours. For immediate testing, you can force a test signal by entering the installer code followed by (5) and then (1), ensuring the system is ready to arm first.
To set up a daily scheduled test
- Contact your alarm monitoring company to put your system on test mode before you begin.
- From a keypad, enter your installer code (default is 4112).
- Press # (pound) and then 0 (zero).
- The system will confirm the schedule has been programmed for a daily test report.
- The first test signal will be sent approximately 12 hours after this command is entered.
To force a one-time test signal
- Ensure the system is “Ready” and no alarms are active.
- Enter your installer code (default is 4112).
- Press 5.
- Press 1.
- Contact your central monitoring station to verify they received the test signal.
