To “reset” a Qolsys IQ4 panel, you can perform a hard reboot by pressing and holding the power button on the right side for about 30 seconds, or a software reboot through the panel’s Settings menu (Settings > Advanced Settings > enter your code > Reboot). A factory reset which erases all data and returns the panel to its original settings, is also possible via the dealer-level settings menu (Settings > Advanced Settings > enter dealer code > Installation > Master Reset).
Method 1: Hard Reboot (Power Button Reset)
- Locate the Power Button: Find the physical power button on the right side edge of the IQ Panel 4.
- Press and Hold: Press and firmly hold the power button for approximately 30 seconds.
- Release: Release the button when the panel begins its shutdown or reboot sequence.
- Wait: Allow several minutes for the system to completely reboot and for the touchscreen to become responsive again.
Method 2: Software Reboot (Through the Menu)
- Open Settings: On the home screen, touch the top bar to open the gray menu, then tap Settings > Advanced Settings.
- Enter Code: Enter your Installer, Dealer, or Master Code (default Dealer code is 2222.
- Select Reboot: Tap Reboot (or Panel Reboot).
- Confirm: The panel will shut down and then restart.
