How to Connect PowerG IQ Remote to an IQ Panel

To connect a PowerG IQ Remote to an IQ Panel, you can use either Wi-Fi or PowerG. For PowerG, enable auto-learn on the panel, then press the PowerG pair button on the remote. For Wi-Fi, connect the remote to the same Wi-Fi network as the panel, then use the panel’s Wi-Fi devices menu to initiate pairing from there.

Note: IQ Remote PowerG is not competable with IQ Panel 2.

PowerG connection

This method is generally preferred due to its extended range.

  1. Navigate to the auto-learn menu on the IQ Panel: Go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors
  2. Select “Auto-Learn”: Tap the + icon and select Auto-Learn

  1. Connect the IQ Remote to Wi-Fi: On the IQ Remote, enable Wi-Fi and connect it to the same Wi-Fi network as the IQ Panel.
  2. Navigate to the Wi-Fi devices menu on the IQ Panel: Go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Installation > Devices > Wi-Fi Devices
  3. Initiate Wi-Fi pairing: Select IQ Remoteand tap Pair
  4. Press the Wi-Fi pair button on the remote:The devices will then begin pairing automatically.

After pairing

  • Once the pairing is complete, the IQ Panel should show the IQ Remote’s status as active.
  • You will be able to configure options like the sensor name on the panel.
  • The IQ Remote may perform software and firmware updates upon connection, which could cause it to reboot several times.
