To program a PG9929 key fob on an IQ Panel 4, first put the panel in “Auto-Learn Sensor” mode through the advanced settings menu using the installer code (default is 1111). Then, press and hold the star (*) button on the PG9929 until the LED turns yellow and release it to enroll the device. Finally, configure the sensor settings, such as setting the Sensor Type to Key Fob and the Sensor Group to 1-Mobile Intrusion.
Access Auto-Learn mode on the IQ Panel 4
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the quick panel.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Advanced Settings.
- Enter the installer code. The default is 1111.
- Tap Installation, then Devices, and then Security Sensors.
- Select Auto-Learn Sensor.
Enroll the PG9929 key fob
- On the key fob, press and hold the star (*) button.
- Continue holding the button even after the LED flashes red.
- Release the button as soon as the LED turns solid yellow.
- The IQ Panel 4 should recognize the key fob and ask for confirmation. Tap OK to enroll it.
Configure the sensor settings
- On the panel, the Sensor DL ID should already be filled in from the enrollment process.
- Set the Sensor Type to Key Fob.
- Set the Sensor Group according to how you want the system to respond. A typical group for a key fob is 1-Mobile Intrusion.
- Configure any other desired settings, such as the name of the key fob.
- Exit the programming mode. The key fob is now ready to use.
