Method 1: Resolve the Physical Tamper (Recommended)
- Press the Button: Locate the black tamper button on the back of the panel (often bottom right) and ensure the backplate firmly presses it.
- Secure the Panel: If the panel cover is loose, firmly press it back onto the backplate until it clicks securely into place.
- Clear the Alert: The trouble alert should clear automatically within a minute or two once the panel detects the switch is engaged.
Method 2: Disable the Alert in Settings
- Access Settings: Tap the small gray bar at the top of the IQ4 screen.
- Go to Advanced: Select Settings > Advanced Settings.
- Enter Code: Enter your Installer Code (default is 1111).
- Find Tamper Setting: Navigate to Installation > Security & Arming.
- Disable: Uncheck or toggle the “Panel Tamper” option to disable the audible alarms and notifications.
