You can dim the display on your XTLtouch keypad using the carousel menu on the graphic touchscreen or a button combination on an LCD keypad.
On a Graphic Touchscreen Keypad
- Navigate to the Options menu by scrolling through the carousel menu options (touch and drag, or use the navigation arrows).
- Tap on Options, then select Brightness and Volume.
- Use the minus (-) icon to decrease the brightness or the plus (+) icon to increase it. A slider bar may also be present for adjustment.
- Tap the shield icon in the top right corner to save your settings and return to the home screen.
Sliding the brightness bar all the way down may reveal additional options, such as enabling a status LED during idle periods or making the screen turn off completely when idle.
On an LCD Keypad
- Press and hold the Back Arrow and CMD keys simultaneously for two seconds.
- The keypad display will change to SET BRIGHTNESS.
- Use the left Select key (the first key under the display) to lower the brightness and the right Select key (the fourth key under the display) to raise it.
- Press the Back Arrow key to exit the User Options function.
Note that if the brightness level is lowered, it will temporarily revert to maximum intensity whenever a key is pressed, and then return to the user-selected level after 30 seconds of inactivity.
